Philvocs, the Philippine government authority in-charge of the observation of earthquakes issued a bulletin cancelling the Tsunami alert. The bulletin was issued by Philvocs today February 6, 2012 at around 04:22 PM (PST).
The agency reported that after two hours of observation period in the areas of Negros and Cebu islands that experienced a 6.9 magnitude earthquake of tectonic origin is cancelled already. There is no unusual sea level changes.
The tsunami alert is CANCELLED. There is no possibility of tsunami incident in the earthquake area.
