Richard Gutierrez Pleads “Not Guilty” in Homicide Case

November 28, 2013, Thursday, Kapuso star and actor Richard Gutierrez was arraigned due to criminal case “Reckless Imprudence Resulting to Homicide”, by Judge Tomas H. Torneros Jr., acting presiding judge of 2nd Municipal Circuit Trial Court of Silang-Amadeo, Silang, Cavite.

Arraignment is a formal reading of a criminal charging document in the presence of the defendant to inform the defendant of the charges against him or her. In response to arraignment, the accused is expected to enter a plea. Acceptable pleas vary among jurisdictions, but they generally include “guilty”, “not guilty”.

Richard,29, case is in relation with  his personal assistant Nomar Pardo who passed away last May 22, 2009.

Almost four years ago, when his Nissan GT-R sedan crashed into a PLDT power line post and three coconut tress surrounding the area at Sta. Rosa, Tagaytay Road.

Pardo, died on the said vehicular accident and left his widowed wife Lorayne Pardo and two children.

The arraignment was supposed to be done last Oct. 23, 2013, however, Atty. Marie Glen Abraham appeal to the court  to reschedule the hearing since that his client, Richard, is in U.S. and Atty. Abraham added that his flight was scheduled ahead of time before the arraignment date was set.
