The suspect of the rape-slay case involving a 9-year-old girl inside a cemetery in Pasig City was already held in custody of the PNP after a CCTV footage were examined by authorities.
The suspect was identified as Joseph Marson Asis Dimayacyac, a 36-year-old security guard at Evergreen Memorial Garden in Pasig City. He was held by police officers for murder and rape of a girl after a camera footage showed the suspect following the victim then dragging her into a dimly-lit portion of the cemetery.

According to SPO4 Roger Villanueva of the Criminal Investigation Unit, who was quoted as saying, “Nakita sa CCTV na itinuro ni Dimayacyac yung CR sa batang biktima tapos sinundan nya ito sakay ng kanyang bisikleta (The CCTV showed Dimayacyac directing the girl to the CR and then followed her in a bicycle).”
“Nang makakuha sya ng pagkakataon binuhat nya yung bata nang lumabas ng CR at dinala sa isang madilim na lugar at doon sinimulang gahasain (When he got the chance, he dragged her towards a dimly-lit portion and raped her),” Villanueva added.
According to previous reports, the 9-year-old victim, Jenn Beatrice de Leon of Barangay Pinagbuhatan, went missing in the night of November 26, 2013. Prior to the incident the girl was last seen at a nearby drugstore with her mother. She asked her mother to buy some refreshments in a store close to the cemetery.
The body of the 9-year-old rape and murder victim was found on December 3, 2013, with bashed head and a dislocated jaw, in an adjacent lot inside the cemetery. According to the Police reports, the suspect cover the victim’s mouth with a handkerchief after she started shouting for help.
